How to apply for a place

Please make sure your meet the specific requirements for each individual subject.  Whilst we make every effort to ensure that students are given their first choice of subject, please be advised that some subjects may only run if the timetable permits and subject to demand.  Therefore, it is important to consider your two reserve choices very carefully.

Internal Students

  • Attend the Open Evening on 1st February 2012  and talk to the teachers of the subjects which you are interested in studying
  • Internal advisory meetings will be held with a member of the Sixth Form Management Team or SMT between 2nd - 10th February 2012 where you can discuss which subjects you are considering studying
  • Fill in the application form and make sure that your parent signs it.  All forms should be handed in to Mrs Carter, Sixth Form Administrator by 10th February 2012
  • There will be taster  sessions held in the week beginning 20th February 2012


External Students

  • Attend the Open Evening on 1st February 2012  which includes a tour of the Academy, a presentation from the Principal and Assistant Vice-Principal/Director of Sixth Form and a chance to talk to the teachers of the subjects which you are interested in studying
  • Complete the application form and send to Mrs Carter, Sixth Form Administrator by 10th February 2012
  • External advisory meetings will be held with a member of the Sixth Form Management Team or SMT the week beginning 27th February 2012
  • External students have the opportunity to visit the Academy during the school day if requested


Application Forms

Application Forms for September 2012 can be submitted to Ms. S. Carter, Sixth Form Administrator, electronically via e-mail s.carter@belvedereacademy.net , or by hand via the hard copy in the application pack available from the Academy from 1st February 2012.
